St. Patrick’s Day is a big holiday, especially in Buffalo! Lately it seems we just make up holidays to “day drink”, but this one has been around for generations. There are a ton of things you can do to throw a St. Patty’s day party at your house and I will do my best in order to help you out.
However, before I begin I just got to ask you why you would want to throw a party at your house? “The best part about a party at someone else’s house is… you never have to worry about cleaning up the mess” – Peter Griffin. You should grab a six pack and head down to the parade, where it is the one day where it is OK to drink in public. If you insist on having a party though here are some tips.
What To Wear
Everybody must wear green. If you are not wearing green, do not let them into your house. If you see anybody wearing random colors, stay clear of them.
What To Drink
Hi-C and Wine Coolers are NOT ALLOWED. Anybody drinking these should be shown the door (unless they are under 21) My favorite alcoholic drinks are Irish Coffee, Car Bombs, and of course, Guinness.
I have been to a few parties where traditional Irish music has been playing and I really never get in the groove. It is great to set the mood, but regular music is acceptable in my opinion. Your party will not suck if you are not playing Irish Music.
Remember, if people are passed out… it is a sign that your party ROCKED!
